教養力育成センター長

　教養力育成センターは、所属する学部学科を問わず、全学の学生に開かれた学修の機会を提供するために設置された部局で、カリキュラム上では教養力育成科目と呼ばれる授業群を運営する組織です。教養力育成科目とは、基本的な学力や生きる上での知恵を身につけてほしいという願いの下、全学生に提供する授業を称したもので、初年次から2年生にかけて主に履修することになります。そこでは、各専門への足掛かりとなる知識やものの考え方について議論する機会を提供すると共に、人文?社会?自然科学の各専門分野へ皆さんを導いていきます。考え方を異にする他者と出会い、共に考え、新たな知を創造する場を作り出しながら、高等学校までの学びを発展させ、生涯を通して社会の様々な問題にアプローチしていける基礎を培うことは、変化の速い時代にあって欠かせません。グローバル化に対応する英語科目や生涯にわたる心身の健康を培うウェルネス科目に加えて、自らの人生を設計し、コミュニケーション能力を培う科目も有機的に配置しています。それらを通して、皆さんが答えの定まらない問いに立ち向かう気力や継続的に学ぶ姿勢、さらには何が問題かを発見する能力を仲間と共に追及し、豊かな人生への足掛かりを積み上げていってくださることを念願してやみません。大学における学びが皆さんの好奇心を呼び覚まし、実りが得られるよう、スタッフ一同、全力で皆さんと関わってまいります。

The Center for Liberal Arts is a department established to provide open learning opportunities to students, regardless of the department to which they belong, and is an organization that designed and conducts the Fukuoka Institute of Technology’s Liberal Arts Development Courses and curriculum. These “Liberal Arts Development Courses” are classes provided to all students with the hope that they will acquire basic academic skills and wisdom for life, and students mainly take them in their first and second years at the university. The classes provide opportunities for students to discuss the knowledge and thought processes that serve as a stepping stone to their respective specialties, and guide students into specialized fields in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. In this era of rapid change, it is essential for students to develop their learning skills up to high school and cultivate a foundation that enables them to approach various social issues throughout their lives, while creating a place where they can meet others who have different ways of thinking, consider solutions together, and create new knowledge. In addition to English courses that deal with globalization, and wellness courses that cultivate lifelong physical and mental health, we also organically arrange courses that allow students to set their own life goals, in addition to cultivating communication skills. It is our sincere hope that all students will pursue the energy to face unanswered questions, an attitude of continuous learning, and the ability to discover problems is together with their peers, and build the foundation for a fruitful life and future. All Center for Liberal Arts staff will do their best to engage with you so that learning at the institute will awaken your curiosity and provide you with a fruitful educational experience.

　欢迎来到教养力育成中心。本中心是一个不分专业为全校学生提供开放式学习机会而设立的部门，主要负责名为 “教养力育成课程”的一系列课程。教养力育成课程面向所有学生开设，旨在帮助学生通过这些课程掌握基本的学习技能，启发生活智慧，其主要授课对象为一年级及二年级学生。这些课程为学生提供了讨论知识和锻炼思维方式的机会，为学生打造学习专业知识的基础，同时引导学生学习人文科学、社会科学和自然科学的各个专业。在这个瞬息万变的时代，学生们有必要结识具有不同思维方式的人，共同思考，创新知识，同时进一步发展高中及之前的学业，为今后一生在社会中解决各种问题打下基础。除了全球化视野下的英语课程和关注终身身心健康的健康课程外，我们还安排了人生设计和沟通能力培养课程。我们希望学生们通过这些课程，与同伴一起充满活力地面对没有明确答案的问题，培养持续学习的态度和发现问题的能力，为创造有意义的人生打下坚实基础。我们的教职员工将全力以赴与学生们互动，激发学生们的好奇心，确保学生们在大学期间获得最大的收益。

　教養力育成中心是一個提供全校學生開放學習所成立的部門。不論學生屬於哪個科系，都能夠參與本中心所開設的課程。本中心負責經營與管理課程設計上所稱的「教養力育成科目」。 「教養力育成科目」是提供給本校所有學生的課程，期望他們能夠培養基礎的學識能力以及生存之道，主要在第一學年至第二學年選修。 在進入到學習各專業領域前，該課程提供了學生針對相關知識討論及思辨的機會，同時也引導學生學習人文科學、社會科學和自然科學等各項專業。 在這個千變萬化的時代，讓學生接觸其他擁有不同思考方式的人，一起思考並創造新知，同時發展應用他們大學前的所見所學，並培養他們未來處理社會上各種問題的基礎能力，是不可或缺的。 除了因應全球化的英語科目及培養健全身心的健康體適能（Wellness）科目外，我們亦有系統地安排了生涯規劃及培養溝通能力的相關科目。 我們誠心希冀您能與同儕並肩，探索未知領域，實踐力學篤行，並發現問題所在，一步一腳印踏出人生的康莊大道。 我們將全力以赴，與您一同在大學學習生活中豐富您的好奇心，期許您的大學生活碩果累累，滿載而歸。

About 教養力育成センターとは

「教養」と「教養力」

学問的な知識や文化?芸術などから修得する幅広い知識、さまざまな経験からの学び、それらを宿す健全な心身。 教養?育成センターでは、それらを包括的に捉え大学教育における「教養」としています。みなさんが将来、専門知識以外の要素を求められたり、マニュアル通りでは答えを出せなかったりといった課題に直面した際、その解決において大きな助けになるものです。

「教養?」とは、?学で修得する知識や学??活から体得する経験を獲得すること（インプット）と、それを応?したり発想のもとにしたりして実践すること（アウトプット）を繰り返す中で、トライアルアンドエラーを積み重ねることにより培われる?です。この「教養?」は、これからの予測困難な時代を?き抜くために必要不可?な?であると考えています。

“4つの?”を身につける授業

教養?育成センターでは、?きく“4つの?”「対応?(当事者意識)」「コミュニケーション?」「課題解決?」「スタディ?スキル」が「教養力」を?えると定義しています。教養?育成科?*の授業では、教科の学修とともに“4つの?”を?につけるため、さまざまなトライアルアンドエラーの体験を実践しています。

※ 幅広い学問分野の基本的な教育と「教養?」の涵養を?的とする科?群。
?般的には?学における教養科?として位置付けられる。

Course 教養力育成科目

キャリア?デザイン 必須 「自己理解」「社会理解」「自己と社会の関連付け」の段階に沿って、VUCA時代を生き抜くためのキャリアをデザインする。

※ VUCA時代：社会情勢が変わりやすく、予測困難な時代のこと
コミュニケーション?デザイン必須 議論スキルの習得を通して自らの行動や思考の傾向を理解し、VUCA時代を生き抜くためのコミュニケーションをデザインする。
自己成長と学び必須 自分の学修や考え方を客観的に見つめ、目標達成に必要な行動をとれるための方法や動機づけを学びながら実践する。
ウェルネス基礎必須 心身や社会生活の良い状態を築き、発展させようとする姿勢を指すウェルネス。本科目では、自律した学生生活や社会人生活の礎となる「自分にとってのウェルネス」を獲得する。
AIデータサイエンス基礎必須 データサイエンス?AIの動向や分析結果をもとに、これからの社会を考察するための基礎的素養を身につける。
Freshman English A?B選択必修＊ 継続的な学習姿勢と社会で求められる基本的な英語スキルを身につける。
Advanced English A?B選択必修＊ 社会で通用する英語スキルの基盤を獲得する。TOEIC対策も行う。
Essential English A?B選択必修＊ 継続的な学習姿勢と社会で求められる英語スキルを身につける。
Communicative English A?B選択必修＊ ビジネスシーンなど様々な場面に対応できる英語スキルを身につける。
ITリテラシー選択 大学および社会で必要なワード、エクセル、パワーポイントなどPCの基礎知識、スキルを身につける。
生命と生態系選択 現代の社会で学んでおくべき生物?生命に関する基本知識、新しい生命科学技術を学ぶ。
化学と生活選択 生活の中にある身近な物質と我々の生活との関連などを学ぶ。
科学史選択 現代社会を支えるテクノロジーが根ざす科学の基礎知識、技術の発展などを学ぶ。
産業デザイン選択 生活の中で使う「モノ」や過ごす「場」を対象としたデザインについて芸術的観点から考える。
地域創生論選択 「地域創生」を捉えるための背景や現状を知ると同時に、自らそのあり方を考え、行動するためのヒントを学ぶ。
異文化理解選択 異文化について学び他文化との違いを認識することにより、他者を理解し行動できる異文化適応力を身につける。
九州学選択 日本の歴史に大きな影響を与えた九州地域の歴史を扱い、文化や伝統の意味を考え、自分の視点を持つ。
心理学選択 心理学の理論的基盤や研究手法を学び、日常実践と関連づけながら「人間とは」「人間の心とは」について理解を深める。
文学選択 作家の生き方や作品が執筆された当時の時代背景に関する考察も含めながら、多面的な思考力と読解力を養成する。
現代倫理選択 VUCA時代における人間としての在り方や生き方を、洋の東西?不易流行の倫理思想を紐解きながら探究する。
経済学選択 日常生活と密接に関わる経済の動きを理解するための基礎知識を身につける。
社会学選択 社会学的な思考方法や概念を身につけることで、現代社会の見方や読み解く力を養う。
日本国憲法選択 憲法を通じて、日本の基本的な仕組みと国民の基本的権利について学ぶ。
市民生活と法選択 社会生活を過ごすにあたり、知っておくべき法的知識を理解し、獲得する。
中国の文化と言葉選択 中国の文化と言葉に触れながら、中国語での基礎的な会話力を身につける。
韓国の文化と言葉選択 韓国の文化と言葉に触れながら、韓国語での基礎的な会話力を身につける。
ウェルネス応用選択 「ウェルネス基礎」に続き、「自分にとってのウェルネス」のさらなる向上を目指す。
地域創生PBL選択 グループによる課題解決型学修（PBL＝problem-based learning）を通して、近隣地域をフィールドにして課題解決のための提案を行う。
日本語実践選択 論点を明確にした論文作法や効果的な話し方など、必要となる言語表現技能の習熟を目指す。
仕事理解型実習選択 各学科で学ぶ専門分野の知識や技術の社会的価値を経験的に理解する。
課題解決型インターンシップ選択 企業が抱える課題の解決に取り組むことで、実社会で応用可能な課題解決力を養う。
海外研修選択 カナダ?トロントの協定校での英語研修とホームステイを中心に、研修前後の講義も含めて実施する。

Career Design Required In this course, students learn how to design a career to survive in the VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) era by following the stages of Self-Understanding, Understanding Society and Relating the Self to Society.
Communication DesignRequired In this course, students learn how to understand tendencies in their own behavior and thinking through the acquisition of discussion skills, and design communication to survive in the VUCA era.
Learning for Self-GrowthRequired In this course, students look objectively at their own learning and thought processes, and then practice methods and build motivation that enables them to take the necessary actions to achieve their future goals.
Wellness: Basic levelRequired Wellness refers to the attitude of trying to build and develop a good state of mind, body and social life. In this course, students will acquire ‘wellness for oneself,’ which is the foundation for an autonomous student and working life.
Basics for AI and Data ScienceRequired In this course, students will acquire the basic knowledge to consider the future of society based on the trends and analysis results of data science and AI.
Freshman English A and BRequired* In this course, students will acquire a continuous learning attitude and the basic English skills required in society.

Industrial DesignElective In this course, students consider the design of objects and places used in daily life from an artistic perspective.
Regional DevelopmentElective In this course, students learn about the background and current reality of regional development, as well as studying independent thought and action.
Intercultural UnderstandingElective In this course, students learn about different cultures and how to recognize differences with other cultures in order to acquire intercultural adaptability skills necessary to understand and act towards others.
Historical Study on Kyushu AreaElective This course deals with the history of the Kyushu region, which has had a significant impact on the history of Japan, and considers the meaning of culture and traditions to gain a personal perspective.
PsychologyElective In this course, students study the theoretical foundations and research methods of psychology, and deepen their understanding of ‘what a human is’ and ‘what is the human mind’ while relating this gained knowledge to everyday practice.
LiteratureElective In this course, students cultivate multifaceted thinking and reading comprehension skills, including studying of the life of the author and the historical background of the era the work was written in.
Modern EthicsElective In this course, students explore their existence and life as a human being in the VUCA era, while unravelling the ethical thoughts of the East and West and trends of the past and present.
EconomicsElective In this course, students acquire the basic knowledge to understand economic trends closely related to everyday life.
SociologyElective In this course, students develop the ability to view and understand contemporary society by acquiring sociological thinking methods and concepts.
The Constitution of JapanElective This course educates students about the basic structure of Japan and the fundamental rights of the people granted through the Constitution.
Citizen Life and LawElective In this course, students learn how to understand and acquire the legal knowledge necessary for living in society.
Chinese Culture and LanguageElective In this course, students acquire basic conversational skills in Chinese through exposure to Chinese culture and language.
Korean Culture and LanguageElective In this course, students acquire basic conversational skills in Korean through exposure to Korean culture and language.
Wellness: Advanced Level Elective Following on from the ‘Wellness Basics’, this course aims to further improve ‘personal wellness’ within students.
PBL in Regional Development Elective Through group problem-based learning (PBL), this course aims to teach students how to make proposals for problem-solving in the field of neighborhoods.
Practical JapaneseElective Students in this course aim to acquire necessary Japanese language expression skills, such as how to write an essay with a clear point of view and effective speech.
Practical Training: Workplace LearningElective In this course, students gain an experiential understanding of the social value of the knowledge and skills in the specialized fields studied in each department.
Internship: Problem Solving Elective In this course, students develop problem-solving skills that can be applied in the real world by working to solve the issues companies face.
Overseas TrainingElective This course focuses on English language training and a homestay at a partner school in Toronto, Canada, including pre- and post-training lectures.
